Terms of Service

The terms governing your department's use of Rescuezu: what it is and is not, subscriptions, data ownership, acceptable use, availability and termination.

Last updated October 22, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Intellizu LLC (“Rescuezu”, “we”, “us”) governing your use of Rescuezu and this website. If you are accepting these terms on behalf of a department or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it, and “you” means that organization.

If you have a signed order form or master agreement with us, that document controls where it conflicts with these terms.

The service

Rescuezu provides managed public websites and lightweight admin tools for fire and rescue organizations, including news and events, a volunteer recruitment pipeline, contact forms and records for station operations.

Rescuezu is not a dispatch, CAD, paging, alerting or ePCR system. It must not be used to receive emergency calls, dispatch or page responders, or record patient care. Every Rescuezu site shows a notice telling the public to call 911 in an emergency, and you may not remove it.

We may add, change or remove features. If we remove or materially degrade a feature you rely on, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email. We will not remove a module you are paying for during your subscription term.

Accounts and access

You are responsible for who you invite, the roles you assign, the actions taken under your accounts and keeping sign-in details secure. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.

You may create accounts for your officers, members and volunteers at no additional charge.

Fees and payment

Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually in advance, at the plan and rate on your order form or the plan you selected at signup. A one-time setup fee may apply where your order form says so. Pilot pricing is subject to change for new customers.

  • Annual plans are paid up front for the term.
  • Monthly plans renew automatically each month until canceled.
  • Taxes are your responsibility where applicable.
  • Late payment. If an invoice is more than 30 days overdue we may suspend access after written notice. We will not delete your data for non-payment without first giving you an opportunity to export it.

Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated here. If you cancel an annual plan mid-term, your access continues to the end of the paid term.

Price changes

We may change pricing with at least 30 days’ written notice. A price change takes effect at your next renewal, never mid-term.

Donations

Donation buttons on your site link to the provider your department already uses. We do not process donations and we do not take a percentage of them.

Your data

You own your data. Your pages, news, events, photos, form submissions and other content remain yours. We claim no ownership of it.

You grant us the limited license necessary to host, process, transmit, back up and display that data in order to provide the service to you, and to act as your processor under our privacy policy.

Export. You can download your form submissions from the admin at any time. We will provide a full export of your content, photos and submissions on request, without a fee, and on termination.

Aggregate insights. We may use aggregated, de-identified information about how Rescuezu is used to improve it. This never includes your members’, applicants’ or contacts’ identities, and it is never sold or shared for anyone else’s marketing.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the content you publish, for the lawfulness of the information you collect through your forms (including having a proper basis to contact the people who submit them), and for how your members use Rescuezu.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Rescuezu for emergency communications of any kind: receiving calls for help, dispatching or paging responders, or alerting the public.
  • Collect Social Security numbers, dates of birth, medical or patient information, or payment card details through Rescuezu forms.
  • Remove or obscure the 911 notice on your site.
  • Impersonate another department or organization, or publish content that is unlawful, defamatory or infringing.
  • Send unsolicited bulk messages through Rescuezu, or use it in violation of anti-spam law.
  • Upload malware, or attempt to access accounts, data or systems you are not authorized to access.
  • Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of Rescuezu without our written permission; see our security page for how to report an issue.
  • Interfere with or place unreasonable load on the service’s operation.
  • Resell or provide the service to a third party without our agreement.

We may suspend access to address an active security threat or a violation that risks harm to others, and will tell you why as soon as we reasonably can.

Availability and support

We aim to keep Rescuezu available at all times and keep automated backups. Planned maintenance is scheduled outside United States business hours where practical, with advance notice for anything expected to cause interruption.

Support is included on every plan by email at support@rescuezu.com. Contractual uptime commitments apply only where a service level agreement is included in a signed order form.

Third-party services

Rescuezu relies on third-party services, including Amazon Web Services, Cloudflare and, when your department turns on Sign in with Microsoft, Microsoft. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.

Intellectual property

We retain all rights in Rescuezu, its software, site themes, documentation and branding. Nothing here transfers those rights to you beyond the right to use the service during your subscription. Stock photos we provide are public domain or CC0 and may be used on your site.

Feedback and suggestions you send us may be used to improve the product without obligation or compensation to you.

Confidentiality

Each party will protect the other’s non-public information disclosed in connection with this agreement with at least reasonable care, and will use it only to perform under this agreement. This does not apply to information that is public, independently developed or required to be disclosed by law.

Warranties and disclaimers

We warrant that the service will be provided with reasonable skill and care, and that we will not materially reduce its security protections during your term.

Otherwise, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenue.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to this agreement is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Term and termination

This agreement continues while you have an active subscription.

  • You may terminate at any time. There is no notice period and no exit fee. Access continues to the end of your paid term.
  • We may terminate for material breach that is not cured within 30 days of written notice, or immediately for a violation of the acceptable use section that risks harm to others.
  • On termination, your access ends, we provide a full export on request, and we delete your data within 90 days, or sooner if you ask.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (data ownership, confidentiality, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law) do survive.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will give account holders at least 30 days’ notice by email before they take effect, and the “last updated” date above will change. If you do not agree to a material change, you may terminate before it takes effect and we will refund any prepaid, unused fees.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which Intellizu LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in that state. The specific venue is identified in any signed order form; email support@rescuezu.com if you need it confirmed before signing.

General

These terms, together with any signed order form and our privacy policy, are the entire agreement between us on this subject. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Neither party may assign this agreement without the other’s consent, except in connection with a merger or sale of substantially all assets. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
